Installation Steps

Follow these steps to install the database server (Click each heading for the detailed installation steps):

1. Install the server

Download and install Patient Manager Advanced on the computer that will store the data.

From the Tools tab, click Add New Database. While creating the new database, select MySQL. See Add New Database for more details.

2. Connect the workstations

To connect the workstation to the new database, click Search Network from the Tools tab. In the Choose dialog, select the created database and click OK. See Search Network for more details.

Installing the Server

1. On the server where you plan to store the data, download and install Patient Manager Advanced from: http://www.vertikalsystems.com/en/products/pm/download_pmadvanced.htm

2. After installing Patient Manager Advanced, login to the application. Go to the Tools tab and click Add New Database.

3. Select MySQL and click Next.

4. Ensure that Default Database is selected. Click Start. The database installer downloads.

5. After the Database Installer downloads, the installer runs. Click Next.

6. In the License Agreement screen, click I Agree.

7. In the Choose character set dialog, check Greek character set if you plan to use Greek characters in the application. Click Install.

8. After the installation completes, click Next.

9. Click Finish.

10. If you want your database to be populated with demo records click Yes.

11. Select both the Publish and Restart options and click Close.

The application restarts and connects to the new database that is accessible through the local network.

Connecting the workstations

1. On each workstation, download and install Patient Manager Advanced from: http://www.vertikalsystems.com/en/products/pm/download_pmadvanced.htm

2. Click Search Network from the Tools tab.

3. In the Choose dialog, select the created database and click OK.

The application restarts and connects to the selected database.
