How To

Setup the Medics and Users

Home  Support  Documentation  Setup the Medics and Medical Staff

If you plan to have multiple users using the program, you should check the Enable Multiple Users checkbox in the Settings viewer ( Administration -> Settings ) to enable the prompt of the Login Dialog.

1. Setup using the Usage Scenarios wizard

The quickest way to setup your Medics and staff is by using the Usage Scenarios wizard. Learn more about it by clicking How to add New Medics with Usage Scenarios wizard .

2. Setup Manually

2.1. Setup the Medical Unit

To setup the Medical Unit go in the Folders Tree to Administration -> Medical Units. Here you can add a new Medical Unit or if you are in demo mode, edit the existing predefined one.

Click here to learn more about Medical Units and how to Set up a Medical Unit.

2.2. Add New Medic to Medical Unit

To add a new medic to a Medical Unit go in the Folders Tree to Administration -> Medical Units. Here double click on one Medical Unit to enter the Medical Unit Viewer. For details on how to add Medics using this viewer, click Set up a Medical Unit.

2.3. Assign Users to a Medic

Medical Records and Schedules can be issued on the medic's behalf by him or other users that are assigned to the Medic. This is the case of Assistants, Secretaties, other Medics or other members of staff. First a user must be created from Users. Then the created user should be assigned to the medic. Read here on how to Assign Users to a Medic.

3. Setup the Security

If you need privacy of your records between the users of the database, Patient Manager enables you to restrict the access of some user for specific records. Read more about this topic in Security Overview and Sharing Objects.

These operations are available only for users in the Administrators group.
